Dental Holding enters Hungary through the acquisition of Sanitaria Hungary

Around 5,000 dental clinics and 2,000 laboratories across Hungary already rely on Sanitaria for implants, equipment, consumables and specialist support. By bringing Sanitaria Hungary into Dental Holding, we entered a new market through a company that has spent more than three decades earning its place in it.

A platform built over more than 30 years

Founded in Budapest in 1990, Sanitaria has grown into one of Hungary’s leading dental distributors. The transaction announced in May 2025 added deep local market knowledge to Dental Holding’s regional platform and marked the group’s entry into its fifth strategic market.

Sanitaria’s strength is grounded in technical expertise and long-standing customer relationships. Its teams understand the different needs of clinics and laboratories, from everyday product availability to equipment selection, implementation and ongoing professional support.

Local depth, regional capability

The strategic fit is clear. Sanitaria contributes brand credibility, customer proximity and a strong position in implants, equipment and consumables. Dental Holding adds procurement scale, digital infrastructure, logistics expertise and the investment capacity of a group operating across Central and Eastern Europe.

Together, these capabilities create room to expand product choice, strengthen inventory availability and make the customer experience more consistent across channels — while decisions remain close to the market they serve.

Continuity from day one

The partnership was designed around continuity. Sanitaria’s founders and management continue to lead the Hungarian operation, preserving the expertise, relationships and entrepreneurial energy that built the company.

That approach reflects how Dental Holding grows. The objective is not to replace strong local identities, but to give them a broader platform: better systems, deeper resources and access to shared knowledge across the group.

A stronger presence in Central Europe

Entering Hungary strengthened the geographic continuity of Dental Holding’s network and opened new opportunities for collaboration between markets. It also expanded the group’s ability to support international manufacturing partners with coordinated regional coverage.
